Tokyo Gore Police

This may sound very odd but this movie bored me to the point where I was almost falling asleep. It has a lot of story and interesting special fx but to me it went really slow and dragged on for a long time.

I think sometime in the future I will watch it again.

Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl

This movie was the weirdest, by far. The story was cheesy and dumb in a soap opera kind of way. The effects were pretty cool sometimes and sometimes poor. Overall it was an okay movie. Very offensive if you ask me, but maybe I'm not down with all ganguro and cutting 'culture', so maybe trigger warning for self harm, violence and racism (?).

The Machine Girl

The Machine Girl is an awesome movie. It just is.
The plot doesn't make a lot of sense, the special effects are pretty damn cool, it's extremely overacted and at the same time it manages to deliver some pretty true to heart scenes, it's a weird balance but they pulled it off nicely.

If I could recommend just one Japanese gore film, it would be this very movie.

Tokyo Zombie

Pretty good movie, not gorey but it's a lot of fun. I like also how they build up on 'deep' moments and how they treat the friendship between the two leading guys.
The animated part is pretty cool as well.
The plot is weird but that goes without saying. If you haven't seen it be sure to check it out.

Robogeisha

A while ago I watched this movie as part of a 'Japanese crazy-movies' cycle.

How do I begin? It was in one word: weird.

A lot of thing didn't made any sense, but it was pretty awesome as well. Entertaining and hilarious at times, there's a lot of blood and I do mean a lot. From the makes of Tokyo Gore Police and Machine Girl. The plot is really weird, I don't know how to explain it really, it starts from a middle point in the story... I think. I dunno, if you like weird bloody movies with giant robots and crazy fight scenes be sure to check it out.
